, It is with great sadness that we report that Linda McBurney, the long time leader of The Mon-Indy Food Project (Green Bag Project) and one of two founders, needs to step down due to health concerns. We are all grateful for her hard work over the years, founding and maintaining this wonderful community project that helps support the Ella Curran Foodbank. We do not want to see it end, so we are seeking a new leader to take over (with support and training provided). See Linda's letter below.

Our next pickup is December 13th.

EVERY 2 MONTHS—on the second Saturday of every even month—our Neighborhood Coordinators pick up bags of healthy nonperishable food that neighbors have left outside their front doors. They leave empty green bags for next time, and take all the food to local Food Banks. It’s that easy!

Linda and Sue are holding down the fort until 2 pm at Grocery Outlet in Independence. Bring your donations for Ella Curran Food Bank and drop them off. You can also pickup a list of needed items from the booth and shop at Grocery Outlet in Independence for your donations. Ask about the Green Bag Project while you are there.
