As a Deputy Constable for 15 years (from 1996 through 2011), Hans helped develop many positive programs while in the Constable’s Office which continue to benefit our community. Keller was instrumental in the creation and implementation of the prisoner transport program which kept our Washoe County Patrol Deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers in our community where they are needed instead of
driving down to Reno to deliver an arrestee to the Washoe County jail for booking. He also developed and managed Pre-Trial and Post Sentencing Programs in conjunction with the Second Judicial District Court in Washoe County and Incline Village Justice Court. During his time in Incline Village, Hans has maintained an amicable professional and cooperative relationship with all of our local government agencies and the Incline Village Justice Court, where he currently serves as the Chief Bailiff since 2011. (Nevada Commission on Peace Officers' Standards and Training) category III peace officer certification in 1996, and then the category I training at the High Sierra Regional Law Enforcement Academy in the Truckee Meadows in 2001. Keller understands the importance of the judicial and law enforcement processes and where the Incline Village/Crystal Bay Office of the Constable fits into those processes. Keller earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration class of 1996 from Sierra Nevada College, serving two terms as Student Body President and graduating with Cum Laude academic honors. Hans is the President and on the Board of Directors of the Tahoe DUI Awareness Program which puts on local Victim Impact Panel Discussions for DUI offenders. Keller is a permanent resident of Incline Village and has been for over two decades, a local homeowner and Treasurer of his HOA, and proud father of two teenagers that share his love for Incline Village.
