First, we want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported High Sierra Lifeline K9 Rescue through your recent donations. Your generosity helps us provide food, shelter, medical care, and a safe place for dogs in need. We couldn't do this without you!

Unfortunately, we recently had to dispose of several bags of donated dog food after noticing it was causing some of our dogs to become sick and vomit. We are not sure who the donation came from, and the food was not moldy or visibly spoiled, but out of an abundance of caution we removed it immediately.
We are now in urgent need of 10 bags of Diamond High Energy dog food from Tractor Supply, which costs approximately $43 per bag after tax.

We are also preparing for the summer heat and need to purchase 12 Riare 90% Black Shade Cloths (10x20 ft) from Amazon. These shade cloths are critical to providing much-needed protection from the sun and helping keep our rescue dogs cool and comfortable during the hottest months of the year.

Handsome Ian's adoption-trial didnt quite work out (thats why it always starts as a trial, Adoptions dont always work out and thats ok! We want our dogs AND the adopters to succeed!), so he's back, wearing his best business-tie 👔, to look through some more applications.

Ian had a hard time settling down during his trial, so he's hoping to find a family that 1- has a calm, friendly, confident dog 🐶 to help show him the ropes, and 2- a family ready to help Ian not only get plenty of exercise 🏃‍♂️ but who is also able to help him learn to chill 😎 out, reset his brain 🧠.

Ian Ian a young Gsd (maybe mix 🤷).. He is a very sweet boy 🥰, but hes still a young working-breed.

He can be mouthy 😬, he tries to jump up on his human friends when he gets overly excited 🤦‍♂️ ..

Ian has all the foundation and tools to kick these habits in his new home 🏡, he just needs a family with the time and dedication to be consistent in his training, the rules and exercise 🏃‍♂️.

Ian is intelligent 👨‍🎓, good with people ❤️ and dogs (although yesterday, he was fully prepared to protect aunt Holly from a forklift loading up one of the new water tanks into the van); hes chased, but never harmed the cats 🐈🐈‍⬛️(strict supervision is always recommended with all dogs and cats), and hes a great adventure buddy.

He is medium energy (on the high end of medium), hes got basic obedience, hes crate trained, walks well on leash, LOVES his toys and water 💧

Ian will always keep you laughing 😃 and on your toes. He's the class clown 🤡, the best friend who is always there for you no matter what!

🚨 URGENT NEED 🚨
Today we discovered that both of our primary water storage tanks have developed major cracks and are leaking badly. These tanks are essential to providing clean water for the dogs in our care and maintaining the rescue property.
As you can see from the photos, the damage is significant and the tanks can no longer reliably hold water. Clean water is not a luxury. it's a necessity for the health, safety, and daily care of every dog that comes through our rescue.
We need to replace two water tanks immediately.
💧 Cost per tank: $200
💧 Total needed: $400
If you are able to help, any amount makes a difference. Whether it's $5, $10, $25, or more, every donation gets us closer to ensuring our dogs continue to have access to clean water.

We have some good news and we have some bad news... Let's start with the bad news Wilbur last week was not adopted after a trial run with his potential adopters. The reason HE WAS TOO NICE! We will take that reason any day of the week so can you step up and give Wilbur the much needed life he deserves as our Dog of the Week and the best dog we currently have at the rescue?
