Wildwood Open Lands Foundation and Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful will be hosting a spring cleanup at Betsy Caughlin Donnelly Park

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Please join us on Saturday, March 16th, 10am-12pm, to support our local community as we will be preparing trails and beds for spring plantings.

Come dressed in sturdy shoes and warm cloths, KTMB, WOLF, and DMOS Collective will take care of all the equipment and materials.

A special Thank You! to all of our volunteers who came out yesterday to help make our first conservancy stewardship event of 2022 a resounding success.

Wildwood Open Lands Foundation has adopted Betsy Caughlin Donnelly Park in Reno as participants of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful’s (KTMB) ‘Adopt-A-Spot’ program.

The team prepared the park for spring blooms by clearing flower beds and removing rubbish that had collected over the winter.

Be on the lookout as we post the schedule for additional planned events throughout the year!

Raising $250,000 for the first Wildwood Conservation Land Acquisition

Wildwood Open Lands Foundation seeks to raise $250,000 this year to enable the foundation to make its first conservation land acquisition in the next 12-months.

In addition to protecting open space from development and exploitation, it is our intention to utilize that resource as a setting for WOLF’s natural sciences programming.

We are seeking a sizable property in the region between the Nevada/California Stateline to as far east as Fallon, NV, and between Gerlach and Smith Valley.

Welcome to the Wildwood Conservancy. Wildwood Conservancy is the land preservation operation of the Wildwood Open Lands Foundation . Conservancy’s goal is to acquire, manage, and maintain natural and cultural reserves primary, but not limited to, the western United States.
For each reserve established, Conservancy shall conduct geographic, geologic, ecologic, hydrologic, and anthropologic surveys to establish a scientific baseline understanding of the reserve. Our intention is to develop operations that serve to conserve the natural and cultural characteristics of the reserve.
