Yesterday marked 3 years without Claire. I started the day at Orangetheory in Fenton. My sweet friend and coach, Samm, played the playlist that I have made called Claire’s Jams. At the end of class I spoke about Claire and how she passed and all of the work we are doing to prevent domestic violence from happening to others. We went to the cemetery and then spent the rest of the day at my parent’s house. I cannot even believe it’s been 3 years since this all happened. 💜

Wow. Herculaneum High School was amazing for our first presentation! The feedback that we have received thus far has blown us away! I am excited and hopeful to do this again at other schools! Here are some photos! More to come💜💜

Hi everyone!

It’s been really crazy and busy in our world. But we are here and have some information about February.

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

Dating violence is more common than you may think, especially among teens and young adults: 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before becoming adults. And nearly half (43%) of U.S. college women report experiencing violent or abusive dating behaviors.

I can speak from Claire’s experience, she was involved in multiple relationships where dating violence was prevalent and it started when she was just 14, a freshman in high school.

I cannot stress enough to talk to your kids, even starting in middle school about safe intimate relationships and boundaries. It seems like an uncomfortable conversation to have but it can really enlighten and make a learning moment for both kids and parents.

Also, claire will be 30 this year in May. Be on the look out for something to celebrate 💜

Hi Everyone! THIS SATURDAY 10/5 at 630am at OrangeTheory Fitness we are having a donation class for the Empower Claire Project. This is a 90 minute class! THE BEST! You do not have to be a member, you just have to call to be put into the class (636) 203-8424. You will also have to get there 30 minutes early to sign Waivers and get a tour and such!

The class is running/walking, rowing and weight lifting. There are other options like the bike or strider, it can be modified for you! OTF is one of my favorite places on this Earth. It is an AMAZING community. If you come, wear purple! There will be pictures of Claire and a special playlist of her favorite songs! I made a playlist of her favorite songs to listen to when I miss her and were going to play it! Some of her friends also added songs over the last 2 years.

Hi everyone! October got here so quickly! It is Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Wear your shirts and spread our name around!

We are doing a fundraiser OrangeTheory Fitness Class on Saturday at 630! I’ll find out if non-members can do a drop in! I’ll keep you posted!

I wanted to share a statistic with you! Missouri has the 3rd HIGHEST reported domestic violence reports in the United States, but that’s just reported.

Recently I learned that in Jefferson county MO you can text 911. This is so amazing especially for people in domestic violence situations. The directions are below. This. Can. Save. Lives.

Enter "911" in the "To" field of your text message app. Then, include your full address, cross streets or building location, and a description of the emergency. Use complete sentences and avoid abbreviations. Do not send photos, videos, emoticons, or group texts

A dispatcher will reply to your text. If your text fails, you'll receive a bounce-back message and should call 911.
