In Loving Memory of Dwayne “King Q” Quamina 🇺🇸
The Reps 4 Vets family is heartbroken by the passing of our friend, fellow veteran, and sponsored athlete, Dwayne Quamina.
Dwayne was a husband, father, United States Navy veteran, IFBB Professional bodybuilder, coach, cinematographer, and friend to so many. But those titles only tell part of who he was.
Dwayne’s connection to Reps 4 Vets goes back to our beginning. Our founder and Dwayne met at 4:13 Fitness and quickly discovered they shared military backgrounds, love of fitness, and New York roots. When Dwayne first heard the vision behind Reps 4 Vets, he believed in the mission and wanted to see it succeed.
Over the years, Dwayne supported us in many ways. He helped with cinematography and videos, shared his knowledge of training and wellness, participated in our events, and was always willing to offer advice or encouragement in the pursuit of excellence.
Years later, when Dwayne returned to the bodybuilding stage, we had the privilege of sponsoring a fellow veteran who had supported our mission from the beginning.
And anyone who attended our annual Patriot Pump remembers “King Q.” Every year Dwayne got under that bar and reminded us that the rest of us why he was King and we were basically competing for second place on the bench press.
But as impressive as Dwayne was physically, his strength was never the most important thing about him.
He loved his family. He loved bodybuilding. He loved helping people. He was disciplined, driven, talented, and carried an infectious laugh and personality people naturally gravitated toward.
Most importantly, he was Leah’s husband and a father to two children who have lost someone irreplaceable. Our hearts and prayers are with them and everyone who loved Dwayne.
Dwayne, thank you for your service, your friendship, your support of our mission, the laughs, the Patriot Pumps, and the example you set.
It was an honor to know you and an honor to have you represent Reps 4 Vets as one of our sponsored veteran athletes.
