The Mountain Communities Alliance Against Gender-Based Violence seeks to inspire and influence our neighbors in the Mountain Communities to engage in collaborative action to challenge, remedy, and eliminate gender-based violence locally and globally. As a catalyst fostering awareness, community-building action, and conversation, we seek to provide resources and convene events that will:
• Increas
e awareness and understanding of the local and global dimensions and destructiveness of gender-based violence;
• Create and promote strategies and behaviors for growing and nurturing positive and wholesome relationships based on human dignity and respect;
• Engage diverse groups and individuals in action to face up to the harms and injuries resulting from gender-based violence and inspire their further action to offer hopeful and healing alternatives. We are ready to collaborate as an essential partner with faith-based organizations, civic organizations, non-profits, schools, and government agencies to foster a safe, responsive, connected and compassionate community.
