As a reminder, we will be taking nominations for officers starting October 1st. Members, If you have a nomination please keep an eye out for the nomination email that will come out after the meeting Wednesday.

Once nominations are confirmed ballots we be sent out in November!

Hello Everyone,

2025 Field Day is upon us again this year. We will be operating from Freeman Park in Idaho Falls, starting at Saturday June 28th at 10am and we will need a few folks in hand to help setup the mast. Setup will be near the restrooms at the top of the park same as the last three years

We will begin transmitting at 12 noon. We are expecting to run until 10pm. And will need 3 or 4 members to help lower the mast. We will have a potluck style luncheon at 2pm. Water and grilled chicken will be provided. Please bring a side dish to share.

FOXHUNT Coming this weekend, May 10th at 9:00AM until Noon or later depending on the batteries. Tomorrow, Saturday May 10th The fox will be located within the area marked in red on the posted photo. This will be area largest area foxhunt to date, the fox location will be somewhere in the Idaho Falls area. Marked on this map in red.

If you plan on participating, please post a reply here if you can so we can keep an eye out for you. Members of the public are welcome to participate as well.

The transmitter will activate on 146.565 at 9:00AM.
The transmitter will deactivate at 12:00PM.

Attached in this post is the general fox operational area.
If you have not done a foxhunt before and would like to participate, please post here and we will coordinate a member to join up with you to assist with helping you learn the process.

Recommend gear:
Handheld radio
Compass
Antenna(s)
Attenuator (if you have one)
Spare batteries for you radio

We recommend the Avenza Maps app if you want to drop direction lines on a map.

We will be monitoring the 146.640 repeater. If you find the fox please let us know you found it. After 12PM feel free to post a photo of you with the fox if you found it!
