We’re excited to see our Downtown Traffic Cabinet Art Program officially relaunched! 🎨✨

A big thank you to the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce for celebrating this project with us and helping shine a spotlight on downtown public art.

Our first two featured pieces, “It Takes a Village” and “Inner Wilderness” by local mixed-media artist Jenna Layton, are now on display at Broadway & N. Capital Avenue.

Each traffic cabinet will feature a QR code where you can learn more about the artist and the inspiration behind their work.

This is just the beginning — we can’t wait to unveil the remaining cabinets and bring even more local art to our downtown streetscape!

✨Under the open sky at Broadway Plaza, something extraordinary happened last night. Footloose Falls—IFDDC’s newest downtown program—took another step, and Idaho Falls showed up in full color.

Kids spinning in joy, couples sharing rhythm, families, friends, and strangers moving together under the stars.

DJs set the beat, and the most amazing electricity came from the crowd—the laughter, the effortless kindness, the collective shift when people let go of the daily grind and just danced.

There’s a quiet power in stepping out of the ordinary and into a shared rhythm. Movement heals, connects, and strips away the weight of the week until all that’s left are smiles and cool fall air.

Our community didn't just attend an event; we built a space where worries melted away and real connection took over.

A heartfelt thank you to the dreamers, the organizers, and everyone who dared to ask, “what if?” and to every single person who brought their energy, their heart, and their dancing shoes to make Footloose Falls unforgettable.

Here’s to many more nights under the lights. Keep dancing, Idaho Falls. ✨

🎨Downtown District Street Art is Back!🎨

If you walked past the corner of Broadway and N. Capital Avenue today, you were in for a surprise — and not the kind you'd expect from a traffic cabinet.

Earlier today, the Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corporation (IFDDC) joined the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the official relaunch of IFDDC's Downtown Traffic Cabinet Art Program, in partnership with IFDDC's Public Art Committee.

It was a moment worth celebrating — and a glimpse at what's coming to the streets of downtown Idaho Falls over the next several months.

The call for art this past summer drew more than 135 submissions from regional artists — a remarkable outpouring of creativity and community investment. Over the coming months, eight traffic cabinets across the Downtown District will be transformed into vibrant, full-color public art installations — with more potentially on the way.

Inaugurating the series at Broadway and N. Capital Avenue are not one, but two pieces by mixed-media artist Jenna Layton: "It Takes a Village" and "Inner Wilderness."

Here's one of our favorite parts: this program goes beyond paint and vinyl. Each wrapped cabinet will feature an integrated QR code that visitors can scan to learn about the featured artist — their background, their portfolio, and the inspiration behind each specific piece.

Traffic Cabinet Sponsorships are now available. Your support directly funds the production and installation of these public art wraps, helping offset costs while making downtown Idaho Falls a more vibrant, creative, and welcoming place for everyone.

Park Avenue was packed with joy, laughter, very large pretzels, dancing, community, and, yes, even a pinball machine! 🤙😃
