The Idaho Falls Area Humanitarian Center hosted an event celebrating the 250,000 Acts of Service for America's 250th birthday. Idaho has already surpassed the goal. The event honored local individuals, agencies, and companies that participated in the challenge. Pictured below are our directors Don and Mozelle Neville receiving the award in behalf of the Center. To date IFAHC volunteers have provided 80,194 hours of service. Come and see what we do! .

The Humanitarian Center produces beautiful newborn kits for the agencies we serve. They are ordered by women's shelters, homes for u***d mothers, hospitals, schools, and other agencies that provide for those in need. They contain a crib quilt, 2 receiving blankets, changing pad, 4 burp cloths, 2 bibs, booties, socks, nightgown, 2 onesies, hat, 4 diapers and a floor quilt. Volunteers crochet or knit beautiful afghans, sweaters, and dresses that we include in the kits when they are available. If you crochet, knit, or sew, we can use your skills at the Center.

Hygiene kits are one of the most requested items we produce at the Center.
They help those in need by meeting some of their most basic but essential daily needs. Hygiene kits provide cleanliness, dignity, and protection from disease-especially in situations where resources are limited, such as homelessness, disaster relief, or refugee crises.
Access to hygiene items helps people feel clean and confident. They can improve self-esteem and mental well-being. Maintaining personal hygiene can influence social acceptance and increase chances for employment or education. Distributing kits builds trust and connection between aid organizations often becoming a gateway to vital serves such as healthcare, housing or counseling.

We produce weighted blankets for neurodivergent children. Each blanket takes 31/2 hours to produce. They are ordered by agencies that work with children and local schools. They ease anxiety, improve emotional regulation, support better sleep, and provide sensory comfort for children. Our cute child model is Kalel Nunnally. Katherine Moore is marking the rice bags and Carol Matthews is sewing the cover. .

The Center produces many colorful felt puppets that are ordered by the agencies we serve as well as many local schools. Through role-play, puppets can be used to practice social skills, resolve conflicts, or rehearse coping strategies. Research shows that puppetry-based interventions improve emotional regulation, anxiety management, and social interaction, particularly in children and vulnerable populations. Pictured below is Barbara Pierson who cuts, pieces, and sews our beautiful puppets. .
