Collaboration that powers our energy future.

Last week, the IAEC Annual Conference convened industry leaders, state energy officials, community voices, and technology innovators to advance a shared vision for the Nuclear Corridor in the Intermountain West.

The agenda reflected the full scope of that work: the current state of nuclear energy across the region, how state energy offices are shaping corridor development, perspectives from local leaders on nuclear's role in their communities, and an in-depth look at advanced reactor and fuel technology from Oklo Inc. and Aalo Atomics. Amentum presented their role in developing Idaho's Nuclear Fuel Campus, and industry partners across the nuclear fuel cycle demonstrated the strength and depth of this growing ecosystem.

We are grateful to our speakers, partners, and attendees for their continued commitment to advancing nuclear energy in Idaho. The momentum from this conference will carry us forward.

A thriving innovation ecosystem was on full display as industry leaders, government representatives, and academia came together under one roof. It was inspiring to see the depth of talent and ambition driving our region forward.

A special thank you to our reception sponsor, Kiewit Corporation, for making this event possible. And to every company, organization, and government representative who showed up and showed out for a stronger energy future, we are grateful for your presence and partnership.

Conversations like these are where partnerships are born, ideas take shape, and the advanced energy future takes hold. We are open for business, and the momentum in this room proved it.

An incredible day at Idaho National Laboratory yesterday!
Our team had the privilege of touring INL's world-class facilities, beginning at the Collaborative Computing Center where we were welcomed by Bob Boston, Manager of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy Idaho Office, and John Revier, Executive Director of External Engagement & Communications.

From there, we traveled to INTEC to observe used fuel storage and learn firsthand about the vital role of the Idaho Environmental Coalition (IEC Idaho Cleanup Project) in responsible nuclear stewardship. A working lunch at the historic EBR-I was a highlight before we continued to the Materials and Fuels Complex, a world-class facility enabling the design, testing, and analysis of irradiated materials and fuels. We toured one-of-a-kind research facilities and discussed future industry-enabling testbeds, such as DOME.

Days like this reinforce why the partnership between industry and Idaho National Laboratory is so powerful, advancing clean energy and nuclear innovation right here in Idaho.

And today, we are back at it at the IAEC Annual Conference, plugging away at The Commercial Corridor. More to come!

Nuclear energy doesn't run on a straight line. It runs on a loop. From mining and enrichment to fabrication, deployment, and used fuel management — every link in the nuclear fuel cycle has to work together. And the industry partners making that happen are finally in the same room.

At the IAEC Annual Conference, we're bringing together the leaders, voices, and industry partners driving nuclear's future, and this is just one of the powerful panels you can expect:

The Commercialization Corridor: Closing the Loop: Industry Partners Across the Nuclear Fuel Cycle

Moderator: Mary Scales | Strategic Laboratory Use & Mission Integration Program Manager, Idaho National Lab
Alex Shrier | Materials & Testing Manager, Advanced Technologies, LLC, BWX Technologies, Inc.
David Bland | Vice President, Infrastructure and Development, Curio
Greyson Buckingham | Co-Founder, President & CEO, DISA Technologies
Kirt Marlow | SVP Energy Deployment, Hi-Tech Solutions

From regulatory pathways to state-level strategy, this panel will unpack what it really takes to move nuclear from concept to commercialization — and why the corridor between Idaho and Wyoming is ground zero for that transformation.
