Happy soon to be weekend! We've got some info regarding our next event, next weekend, from Barney below:
Our event (July 25 & 26) overlaps with the Packwood SCCA ProSolo event. Since several folks are going to Packwood, we anticipate a lower than normal turn out for our local event in Rigby July 25 & 26. We (the board) considered cancelling the event due to an anticipated very low turn out, but instead we will re-focus this event to be a low stress, novice focused event to encourage and grow more participation. The focus includes:
NOVICE drivers
Friends / family / neighbors that may be interested / intimidated to try autocross but have not autocrossed before
This event can also serve as a test & tune for mid- to experienced- drivers looking to improve their vehicle's setup.
Jeff Lacey and Barney Carlson are planning and running this event. Please reach out to us with any questions / comments / suggestions.

Logistics:
Saturday AM: Test & Tune (no time recorded in AM; just practice, learning, test & tune, etc.) with a shorter course designed for vehicle tuning, driving practice, and growing confidence (i.e. many runs). Like all events, this morning session will still be split into 2 (or more) RUN/WORK groups to efficiently get a lot of runs, while still providing flexibility for individuals tuning their car.
This is a great opportunity for novices and 1st time autocrossers to get more seat time and build skills and confidence.
Saturday PM: Autocross timed event on the same course as the morning (no more practice, now it's time to autocross)
Sunday AM & PM: normal full-day autocross with course design emphasis building upon the previous day car tuning, improved driver skills, and continued fun.
This is a great opportunity for those not traveling for Packwood to test & tune, have a rookie friend, spouse, family member, etc come try it out with even less stress than there already is!
