Our first Type-In was a success despite the fact no one showed up to type. So, why was it a success?

1) We thoroughly organized and described the event.
2) We produced numerous supporting documents including a certificate of attendant, an event description, decorated stationary and a roster sign-in sheet.
3) We arrived in advance and set up a very clean, attractive typing display.
4) We made a new plan to improve Type-In participation for the next event.
5) We had a lot of fun!

We clearly learned a lot staging out first Type-In. We're looking forward the next one.

The 1st Snake River Type In will take place Labor Day 2022 from 10 AM to Noon at Freeman Park in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Numerous sturdy picnic tables are situated in the deep shade of tall trees within a few feet of the east bank of The Snake River.

Ample parking is nearby along with sanitation facilities. There is no electrical power so this Type In will be for manual machine only. The grassy area beside The Snake River provides a near perfect venue for a casual, urban Type In.

Is so inclined, participants are invited to type a few of their impressions of Freeman Park to provide to PJ Holm, Director of Idaho Falls Parks & Recreation Department.

There is no charge to attend the 1st Snake River Type In. We will be using our 1953 Smith-Corona Silent Super and will have our 1973 Olympia SM-9 available for public usage.

If time and resources allow, we will create a limited supply of souvenir stationary as well as some brief interpretive materials.

An RSVP is appreciated but not required. There is a large nearby enclosed pavilion so the Type In will take place "rain & shine."
