The leadership team is excited about camp this year because we missed all of you last year!!!

We are planning on holding camp June 21-25- as long as we are able to do so. So far, it is looking good!

Hopefully you've received the sad news already -

Volunteers, Parents and Campers,

We're very very sorry to say that Mountain Kids Day Camp 2020 has had to be cancelled because of Covid-19. The Leadership Team has been discussing how and if we could have camp, and keep everyone safe, for over a month. But, this week, the Board for Camp Ivydale, the camp we rent for the week, decided to take the wise and safe route and just close Camp Ivydale for the rest of the summer. We certainly understand their reasoning of the difficulties of social distancing, keeping their staff safe, disinfecting surfaces, and so forth, so this wasn't unexpected.

We are all very disappointed, and know you probably are also. But, we certainly want everyone to be safe, and social distancing with so many campers and volunteers would have been nearly impossible.

We hope things will improve, and if possible, we'd like to do something "camp-like" for a day or so in August. No guarantees, and we'll just have to let you know if we're able to do that at all. We'll contact you if we make any definite plans.

Meanwhile, please stay safe, read your Bibles, pray, keep your relationship with Jesus strong, sing camp songs, do the motions with enthusiasm, be kind, be joyful, and have a great summer. We miss you already! We'll plan to see you in 2021!

HI EVERYONE!!! Mountain Kids Day Camp is getting ready for you!!
Our first Teen Training will be on May 30th, followed by our All Volunteer training on June 13. Camp set up will (hopefully) be on June 20, with Camp starting June 22. The leadership team is starting to get plans in place for the BEST. WEEK. EVER!!!!!!!

Idaho City Days is coming up in just a few weeks, and all the non-profits in town have the opportunity to have a booth to make some money and do some good public relations.

We really need you to help, please! It's only for a few hours, it's fun, you get to meet a lot of people, and, best of all, you get to help Mountain Kids Day Camp!

The Isaiah Foundation is going to have a booth with both donation jars and our spin-art machine. We thought it would be fun to allow the "public" to make a picture, create some beautiful art using our spin-art machine, and have a little fundraiser. Additionally, we always want others to know about our camp - both for volunteer positions, financial donors, and for future campers - you can tell people all about it!

We need your help! We need three people for each shift - and you're welcome to help with more than one shift, of course. We will train you on how to use the spin-art machine - it's easy, and fun! We expect our booth will be on the side street near the Pon Yam house where it was last year, at Montgomery and Commercial.

Please let Jennifer Alban ([email protected]) know by email which day(s) and time(s) you'd prefer - we'll try to be as accommodating as possible with your schedule. Obviously the first to let her know will have preference as to days and times! Hope to hear from you really soon - like in the next couple days!
