⛏️ A NEW SUMMER TRADITION IS COMING TO IAEGER! ⛏️

The More LIFE Foundation and the Town of Iaeger are excited to announce that we are working together to create a new summer festival celebrating the people, heritage, and spirit of the Appalachian Coalfields!

We are currently in the early planning stages of what we hope will become a large annual celebration honoring the rich coal-mining history of Southern West Virginia and the generations of families who built their lives and communities around the industry.

The festival is being envisioned as a celebration for the entire community, featuring opportunities such as:

🎉 A community parade
👑 Beauty pageants
🎶 Live music and entertainment
⛏️ Coal mining history exhibits
🎨 Student art and educational projects
🏆 Team competitions and “Coalfield Olympics”
🎡 Carnival rides and midway games
🍔 Food vendors and local businesses
🛍️ Craft and community vendors
…and much more!

🤝 WE’RE LOOKING FOR COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Bringing an event of this size to life will take the support of businesses and organizations throughout our region.

We are currently seeking major sponsors and corporate partners, particularly among:

🚛 Trucking and transportation companies
⛏️ Mining companies and mining-related businesses
🏢 Regional businesses and industries
🏪 Local businesses and community organizations

We want this festival to be more than just an event — we want it to be a celebration of our history, an opportunity for our communities to come together, and something future generations can look forward to every summer.

If your business or organization would like to learn more about becoming a founding sponsor of this new festival, please reach out to:

Trey Lockhart — More LIFE Foundation
Aaron Roberts — Town of Iaeger

📩 We would love to begin building this vision with businesses and community leaders who believe in celebrating and preserving the heritage of the Appalachian Coalfields.

This is our history. This is our heritage. This is our home.
⛏️ Let’s celebrate the Coalfields together.

🎒❤️ What a GREAT day for Operation: Pack the Pack! ❤️🎒

Today was everything we hoped it would be—and thankfully, the rain held off just long enough for us to make it happen! 🌦️

Together, we were able to provide about 70 backpacks to kids in our community! But the backpacks were only the beginning. Our amazing sponsors came out, set up tables, and helped the kids fill their packs with school supplies to get them ready for the first day of school. 📚✏️

The kids also got to make fun friendship bracelets, enjoy FREE fresh haircuts, listen to music, grab some food, hang out with some notable characters, and take part in our raffles. It was such a great afternoon of fun, fellowship, and community!

Most importantly, today reminded us just how special our community is. ❤️

A HUGE THANK YOU to every sponsor, vendor, volunteer, and community member who came out and joined us in preparing our kids for their first day of school. Your generosity and support made this event possible, and we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you!

And to all of our students heading back to school—GOOD LUCK THIS SCHOOL YEAR! 📚🍎 We hope you have an amazing year, work hard, dream big, and always remember that your community is cheering you on! Today, you packed! You played! Now, it’s time to learn!

From all of us at More LIFE—thank you for helping us Pack the Pack! 🎒❤️
