YoFES has been under the direction of Chantal Firmin as Executive Director since January of this year. Ms Firmin has been working in the Haitian community for over 25 years in multiple capacities in various non-profit organizations. Ms Firmin has played the role of Director of Programs (Music, Health, Educational Enrichment)
She was a ESL/GED Lead Instructor and tutored Elementary, High School, College level Math.
For 2 years, she worked as an Executive Assistant to the Director, supporting the Executive Director with the day-to-day business of the organization.
Even though our programs were impacted by the Covid pandemic, it is a known fact that Ms Firmin will work tirelessly to revive and innovate YoFES with STEAM.

MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS: Pianist Erez Dessel studied jazz performance at New England Conservatory and continues to live and teach music in Boston, a city he has performed extensively in.

Guitarist Kevin Covney joins us from Cleveland Institute of Music where he earned his Masters in guitar performance. Kevin enjoys teaching and has students across the country.
