This Fall’s first session of PTA(B) features David Block-Schachter and Evan Rowe of the MBTA. As Chief Technology Officer, David works on projects that make the T more customer friendly, e.g., fare systems that speed up travel and allow you to pay with your phone, real time information that reduces wait times and stress, a responsive and accessible website, and the open data and APIs that support all this and more.David was formerly the Chief Scientist and CTO at Bridj. He has lots of degrees, including a PhD from MIT. He doesn’t drive, which explains a lot.
Evan is Director of Revenue where he leads revenue-oriented policy, strategy, and implementation, including fare products, advertising, and parking. Prior to the T, Evan worked at Google’s Washington, D.C. office, and he is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Carleton College.
Next session: October 9 at 4:30 p.m. in L-130 (Bolton Room) - A Report from the Frontlines of Transportation: HKS Students Share their Insights
