As housing costs continue to squeeze Americans, an old idea is making a comeback: renting a room instead of an entire home. The number of households sharing space with nonrelatives grew by more than 500,000 between 2017 and 2022, while roughly 21 million “empty nest” households were identified as having at least two extra bedrooms.

Co-living companies are looking to connect that unused space with people searching for more affordable housing—and lawmakers in some states are reconsidering rules that restrict how unrelated adults can share a home.

Breakfast on the Go---
As summer winds down and we're getting back into the swing of our hectic school and work week heading into fall, please remember it's so very important to pause and get a great start to the morning rush.

Our Resident Services Coordinator and property management staff were out at 7am in Silver Spring with fresh fruits and juices, granola and other breakfast treats for our students and residents.
