A fond farewell to Rev. Nathan Hill as he moves to his next church call. A farewell luncheon was held on January 26 at the PGPlaza Day Center, located at University Christian Church on Adelphi Rd. Nathan was instrumental in recognizing the need and promoting the establishment of the Day Center, which provides a safe daytime environment for the homeless and those with economic hardships in the Hyattsville community. The Day Center opened its doors in October 2016 and continues to support this critical need. Twelve churches support the program, serving as board members and encouraging sponsorships, donations, and volunteers within each congregation. We also celebrated the retirement of Rev. John Burns of the University Baptist Church in College Park. John served as the board chair for many years and has passed the baton to new board members. Thank you to Nathan and John for your service and a job well done! https://www.weareubc.org/ https://uccmd.org/
