Hyattsville Fraternal Order of Police The Robert J. King Memorial Lodge #119 Hyattsville Fraternal Order of Police Inc.

represents the sworn law enforcement officers and retirees of the City of Hyattsville Police Department. FOP #119 is also very active in our community and actively participates in charity functions for Special Olympics, Shop with a Cop, Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), The Sonny Frazier Memorial Toy Drive, University of Maryland Shock Trauma and the Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department, just to name a few.

37 years ago today, Cpl. Robert King was killed in the line of duty while attempting to apprehend a stolen motorcycle suspect. He left behind a wife and young daughter.

United States Capitol Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick died Thursday evening (January 7, 2021), resulting from injuries he received while defending the United States Capitol from rioters on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Pleasant in demeanor, resolute in action Officer Sicknick will be greatly missed by his sister and brother officers. Our condolences to his family and friends, as well as the officers of the United States Capitol Police. Let us vow to work together to use these tragic events to strive for greater love and understanding of each other and turn that into a force that will help us create a more perfect union.
