Today, I wanted to sit down and have a real, open talk about perseverance, digging deep, and continuing to chase your dreams even when life gets tough.
I shared a bit of my own personal journey and how I learned to flip heavy negativity into pure creative energy. Growing up, people tried to put so many limits on my life. I was told I would never be more than a teenage mom or a high school dropout. People even said no man would ever marry me because I was "too strong and independent."
Instead of letting those words define me, I used them as fuel. I set out to break every single cycle in front of me. I became the first in my family to graduate high school and college, became a first generation entrepreneur, and I am currently working on my master’s degree. Out of my parents' six children, I was also the first to get married and build this beautiful, thriving life with my family. 👑🏆
Sometimes the vision God gives you is completely new to your community, and people might not understand it at first. That is okay. You still have to push forward and live out the purpose you were created for anyway.
