According to a June 2021 Center for Disease Control and Prevention release:

"Mental health conditions are often seen as the cause of su***de, but su***de is rarely caused by any single factor. In fact, many people who die by su***de are not known to have a diagnosed mental health condition at the time of death. Other problems often contribute to su***de, such as those related to relationships, substance use, physical health, and job, money, legal or housing issues.”

Mission: Back To School🎒📝📚

LMI is a consultancy dedicated to powering a future-ready, high-performing government, drawing from expertise in digital and analytic solutions, logistics, and management advisory services. Each year LMI welcomes Summer Interns and Co-ops to work closely with top experts in their fields, participate in extensive networking opportunities and support real-world projects for government customers.

These students become an integral part of LMI and develop a vested interest in its culture. They integrate its corporate social responsibility priorities. LMI and its employees donate time and resources like service hours, knowledge capital, and meaningful partnerships.

For the end of this term, LMI Summer Interns, proposed a partnership with AHUSS to help supply, package and distribute donations. The goal: to package at least 50 bookbags stuffed with supplies from our Amazon Back to School Wish List.

Additionally, the LMI cohort assisted AHUSS with the start of the AHUSS Clothing closet. Although many continue to work remote or hybrid, AHUSS engages with those for whom career clothing is difficult to obtain or maintain. Together with other LMIers we have organized to collect gently used or new professional clothing items as well as gently used children’s and teen’s school clothing at the LMI Tysons headquarters.

LMI is certainly growing young professionals into talented and concerned corporate citizens.

AHUSS is grateful to LMI’s 2022 Cohort for their willingness to support our mission.
