Just before 2300 hours last night, the Engine Company was alerted to respond on Box 13-10. The Engine Company was dispatched first due and arrived to find a three-story garden-style apartment building with fire showing from the terrace level.
The Engine Company stretched a 200-foot attack line and extinguished the fire. Crews operated on scene for approximately two hours before returning to Annapolis Road.

E281 was added to U.S 50 West bound after MLK for a Tractor vs SUV on fire with one trapped inside. On arrival, units on the westbound side were delayed with traffic so the crew on E281 positioned on the east bound side to get water on the SUV. RE33 arrived quickly and began the extrication on the PT while the crew from E281 controlled the fire that was burning from the gasoline tank. Once the PT was out, EMS quickly transported to a local trauma center. Units operated for roughly an hour and a half before returning to service.

🚨Mayday alert for FFPM Demair Lloyd’s family🚨

The men and women of the Prince George’s County Fire + EMS Department (Maryland) are mourning the sudden loss of Firefighter/Paramedic Demair Lloyd, who suffered an unexpected medical emergency after completing his shift. FF/PM Lloyd was known for always checking in on his colleagues and friends, and for his calm, steady presence on emergency calls. His dedication to others and unwavering professionalism earned the respect and admiration of those who served alongside him.

In 2024, FF/PM Lloyd received a Life Safety Award for his care of a cardiac arrest patient who made a full recovery, due in large part to his efforts. Throughout his career, he made a lasting impact on countless lives through his compassion, commitment to service, and exceptional care. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. Let’s honor Demair and his family with the relief they deserve.
