We’re excited to be participating in "Museum Mondays in May" with the Cape Cod Museum Trail!

On Monday, May 4th, the Cape Cod Maritime Museum will be free and open to all. While we’re not normally open on Mondays, we’re so excited to open our doors for this special day. Our hours will be 10 AM–4 PM.

The Young Mariner Program is officially FULL for the 2026 summer season! ⚓ We’re incredibly grateful for all the families who signed up and can’t wait for a summer of ocean exploration, hands-on learning, and on-water adventures.

Waitlists are available for all sessions. If you're interested in being notified if a spot opens up, feel free to reach out!

The Young Mariner Program has just ONE spot left for the entire summer! ⚓️

This final opening is for Week 1 (June 22–26). If you’ve been thinking about signing your child up, now’s the time!

Here are a few silly, goofy group photos from Summer 2025 to get you excited for what’s ahead!

Families are also welcome to submit a scholarship application for free tuition for the week (a $50 nonrefundable deposit is required).

All other weeks of the summer are currently full and operating with waitlists.

Boatbuilding update! ⚓️

Our young boatwrights have been hard at work every Saturday morning. Here are a few shots from a couple of weeks ago as they began building their Bevin’s Skiff — measuring, cutting, and bringing their boat to life from the very first steps.

If you have a middle schooler who might be interested in this amazing hands-on program, this current session is full — but don’t worry! We run the class biannually, with the next session launching this fall.

Come explore our amazing exhibits and challenge yourself with one of our fun scavenger hunts (one for ages 3–7 and one for ages 8+). Check out our award-winning Coast Guard surfboat restoration and experience Cape Cod’s maritime history up close!

Thanks to the generosity of the Highland Street Foundation’s Winter Camp program, we’re opening the museum FREE to all visitors on Friday, February 20, 2026.

This is a great chance to stop in and explore—especially if it’s your first time visiting!

Winter Camp offers free activities for kids and families during February school vacation, with opportunities all across Massachusetts—including museum visits, ice skating, and more. We’re so excited to be part of it!
