Last week, our field and land management class toured Jack Trice Stadium at Iowa State. We were able to look at Jack Trice, the practice fields, the indoor field, and the equipment. Thank you, Iowa State for letting us come and tour the stadium. We also had a little race where Mr. Edwards was caught cheating.

Earlier this week, our horticulture classes took a field trip to tour the Iowa State research farm in Gilbert and visit some greenhouses on the Iowa State campus, ending with some Hickory Park for lunch! Everyone had a great time and learned something new. Thank you Iowa State, for letting us come in and tour the ISU Horticulture Research Farm and the greenhouses on Iowa State's campus.

Last night, the Ballard FFA Chapter hosted the annual FFA banquet. There was a dessert auction, meal, and award ceremony. The first degree was the Greenhand Degree, and went to first-year members in FFA. Twenty-one members received it last night. For second-year members, they received the Chapter Degree, twelve members received it. Members who are a Junior or Senior can apply for their Iowa Degree, four members received it. We had three members get a Farm Business Management recognition, and three got a Poultry Judging recognition. Seven members received recognition for competing at Sub-Districts in Conduct of Meeting. Then we had five Star Greenhand awards, along with three Rising Star awards, one Outstanding Service award, one leadership award, one Outstanding Member award, and four Senior awards. Then, we have our 2026-2027 officer team!
