Hutto Public Library Friends

The Hutto Public Library Friends is a nonprofit group that fundraises to support the Library's programs and services. This amazing group of volunteers was officially established in October 2025 with a full board. In the last year, they have funded many programs including the purchase of books for our monthly Teen Book Club and Senior Book Club, a new rug for Story Time, funds to starts a Hindi children's book collection, preschool interactive toys, and sponsored our upcoming Cookie Decorating class! We are so thankful for this wonderful group, who pours into the Library and the Hutto Community in so many ways.

Did you know that the Hutto Public Library Friends is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our library and strengthening our community? 🐰📖

Our library is a place for learning, discovery, connection, and belonging—and our Friends group helps make so much of that possible!

✨ What do the Friends do?
- 📚 Support library collections by helping provide books and other resources for our community.
- 🎨 Enhance library programs and events that bring people together to learn, create, celebrate, and connect.
- 🌎 Celebrate our diverse community by supporting opportunities that welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests.
- 💡 Help make new ideas possible by providing financial support for special projects, resources, and experiences that enrich library services.
- ❤️ Champion the library by advocating for the important role libraries play in building a stronger, more connected community.

One wonderful example is the Friends' support of our growing Hindi children's book collection, made possible alongside a generous donation from Atmos Energy. This investment helps us better serve Hutto's diverse families and ensure more children can find books that reflect their language and experiences.

The Friends are an important part of our library ecosystem, working alongside the Library and community partners to help Hutto Public Library thrive.

We are so happy help the Hutto Public Library refresh all of the toddler and infant story time toys! And a special thank you to those in the community that purchased off the Amazon wish list!
Did you know the library host weekly free events to support the child in our community. Having toys accessible to the children gives them the opportunity to bond with their caregivers and practice their social skills with others!
