Simple Sparrow Care Farm Simple Sparrow Care Farm provides therapeutic farm education for all ages, backgrounds, and abilities

SSCF collaborates with schools, therapists, churches, and other nonprofits to provide therapeutic farm education for all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to learn, grow, and heal through safe relationship in caring compassionate community. We integrate several evidence based therapeutic methods (e.g. TBRI and NMT) into practical farming lessons for rich somatosensory experiences, relational connections, and meaningful education. We are constantly evaluating our programs and services to determine the efficacy of our care farm model which contributes to national and global care farming research.

Jacopo the llama is actually very chill around babies. This weekend we had some families visit with their littles while Jacopo was out on break from guarding the pasture. He smelled the flowers, smelled the baby, then wandered to nibble some fruit trees.

Our incredible Pumpkin Patch volunteers have been stewarding a quarter acre of pumpkin vines this summer. We are on the home stretch for pies for Thanksgiving.

CFN's free Virtual Deep Dive with Simple Sparrow Care Farm is this Thursday!

A CFN virtual “Virtual Deep Dive” is a one-hour, in-depth look at a single care farm in our network. Think of it as a farm tour, minus the mud boots.

Joining us for this Deep Dive is Jamie Tanner, founder and Board President of Simple Sparrow. You’ll hear their origin story, how they operate day-to-day, what’s working, and what’s hard — followed by 15 minutes of open Q&A.

We are incredibly grateful for opportunities to share more about trauma-informed care farming. This week, founders Dr. Jamie Tanner & Marti Smith are presenting at 'sChildren first annual .

This evening, a handful of conference goers visited the care farm at sunset to experience Simple Sparrow first hand.

You too can experience the care farm for yourself! First Saturday of every month 9a-11a is open farm for tours and volunteer orientation. Hope to see you soon!
