Barley helped hang new shade sails today. By "helped," we mean he sat on the shades and looked cute. We lost productivity but he was very content 😂

This agricultural space was transformed into a care farm program for vulnerable/displaced children in Saint Louis, Senegal.

Maison de la Gare is doing the hard, transformational work not only to land, but also to lives.

At Simple Sparrow Care Farm, one of the simplest ways we support our clients is by offering a small snack when they arrive.

A quick bite can help regulate the nervous system, create a sense of safety, and make it easier for children, families, and community members to fully participate in their sessions and programs.

Calling all preschoolers and their grown-ups! Experience farm nature with educational farm chores, story time, and crafts. Little Care Farmer's Camp starts soon!

Early stewardship starts with simple moments. Our Simple Sparrow team is leading a four‑class series for children (ages 2–6) and their guardians, teaching the foundations of caring for the farm, themselves, and others. Each week focuses on a core theme: Food • Water • Shelter • Community.

We are honored to partner with Maison de la Gare for international impact ❤️ They are doing the hard work and we are working to provide additional support so they keep going!

This year, our focus was trauma-informed care training for their staff, care givers, and city officials. Next year, we aim to build on the trauma-informed care support by providing for physical needs via medical supplies and health initiatives.

What a special morning at Simple Sparrow. ❤️

Today we hosted another adoption match event, and every single time we walk away feeling so grateful to be part of this work. If even one child finds a forever family through these gatherings, it is worth every bit of effort poured into them.

We also love helping pre-adoptive parents learn practical ways to connect with children that reduce pressure and build trust and safety instead. And honestly, the animals at the care farm help so much with that connection piece. There’s something really beautiful about how naturally relationships begin to form when everyone is just spending time together in a calm, welcoming environment.

We are also grateful to partner with our friends at Partnerships for Children and to spend time alongside some wonderful folks at DFPS and CASA who advocate so faithfully for these kiddos day in and day out. Seeing people give up part of their Saturday to invest in kids and families is something really special.

It’s an honor to be part of work that helps create connection, belonging, and hope for children and families.
