Come out and join us at Six20 Strength on May 25th start time is at 9am. The best you can do is come out and try your best!

We’re hosting THE MURPH at Six20 Strength!

If you’ve never done it before, Murph is a workout performed in honor of Lt. Michael Murphy, a U.S. Navy SEAL who was killed in Afghanistan during Operation Red Wings in 2005 and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his courage and leadership.

The workout:
→ 1 mile run
→ 100 pull-ups
→ 200 push-ups
→ 300 air squats
→ 1 mile run
→ Traditionally done with a weighted vest — but it’s completely scalable to any level.

What we’re doing:
We’ll be running heats starting at 9AM on May 25th.
You can go solo, partner up, or modify as needed. Our coaches will help you through it.

This year:
We’re teaming up with Reno County SRT. There’s no set entry fee → instead we’re encouraging a free will donation to support them and what they do for our community.

Greetings,

The Friends of Reno County SRT was established in 2024 as 501(c3) non-profit organization. The purpose of Friends is to act as a support arm of the Reno County SWAT Response Team. This team is comprised of Law Enforcement Officers from the Reno County Sheriff’s Office, Hutchinson Police Department and the South Hutchinson Police Department as well as the Hutchinson Fire Department. Reno County SWAT responds to a wide range of calls throughout the year as an additional duty to their role as Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters within Reno County. In addition to responding to calls the Team has training at least once a month. The Team also coordinates and instructs several classes throughout the year. The Team hosts a Response to Active Shooter training every summer. This training is open to all Sworn Law Enforcement in Reno County. Students are taught tactics and skills to assist them in responding to these incidents. The Team also co-hosts a SWAT Basic Operator Course every fall. Students in this course are new SWAT Operators and are taught the basic skills and tactics needed by Operators in their first year on a SWAT team. Team members also provide Active Shooter Response Classes to the public sector by request.

The Friends of Reno County SRT was established in 2024 to assist the Team with purchases of equipment and training needs. Reno County SRT gets limited funds from the Agencies involved to help with purchasing needing items. The Friends goal is to bridge the gap between budgeted funds and rising costs associated with equipment purchase and replacement and training. Proper equipment is a life saving tool for members of the Team and the public they serve. Current and relevant Training keeps Team members up to date on current trends and the safest tactics for use in SWAT incidents. Funds donated to the Friends of Reno County SRT will help Reno County Emergency Services in their mission to protect the citizens of Reno County.
