Plea for help with donations, adoptions, or fosters!

Many of you have seen pics of these 4 puppies I saved from almost getting smooshed by a bus on February 27th while I was on my way home from the vet with another dog. I herded them into my car, and everyone denied ownership or having seen them before. They were positive for every type of worm, and you could see how full of nasties they were with their little bloated bellies. I got them de-wormed, parasite-free, and their first round of vaccinations, and then I expected to be able to place when with a rescue— literally NONE have any space, even outside KY in our region and beyond.

So, I kept taking care of these beautiful babies and trying to find them forever homes. I was lucky enough to get a sponsor for their first vaccinations, but their second and third are just out of pocket, as well as all of the food and other supplies (including flea and tick protection) that they so desperately need.

So, first priority is to continue to find forever homes for these perfect babies, now 16 weeks old. Hound mixes (maybe with lab or mountain cur). 1 male, 3 females. But, secondly, I REALLY need help with these mounting vet costs!! If you are able to contribute anything at all, please Venmo or PayPal @ [email protected], or Chewy gift card, or check. And please please continue to share and spread the word for these babies to find their homes. We need to make sure they’re not lost in the shuffle! I can help with transportation to potential homes, fosters, or rescues. ANYWHERE, not just in KY and neighboring states. Thank you for caring!

Named portraits are from this week. Other pictures show their development with me.

Please help us find a forever home for this big pup!

Calvin is an 80 pound, fully vetted, vaccinated, and neutered young (probably 1-2 years old) male pit bull. He is a silly and energetic lovebug. Calvin needs a forever home with no cats. Calvin likes dogs and LOVES people!

When I found him, he was about to gallop onto a busy highway. He was covered in scratches, wounds, and infections. He had internal and external parasites, and he was an itchy mess. Calvin healed up so beautifully!! He is an insanely handsome boy who still has a lot of puppy energy. He is STRONG and needs someone who has experience with pits or other big dogs.

Calvin is going to make the most amazing addition to his future family! Please get in touch for an adoption application or to schedule a meet and greet, and give this unflappably happy boy the life he deserves!

Often, social media overwhelms me, and I do not have service at home, but our lives are still dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of abused and neglected animals!

I was driving to get feed, and I saw this big pit boy gallop down a hill and straight for the highway. I pulled over, and he came right to me. He was not neutered, every inch of him was covered in scars, he had obvious mange and a couple of nasty wounds, and he was all sweetness. Then, while I was trying to keep him off the road, his “girlfriend” popped over the hill, a hound girl who was super young, but already had had puppies (though she was no longer lactating and did not have puppies with her) and had an obvious severe infection in both ears. They were both covered in fleas and ticks, and none of the nearby houses claimed to recognize them.

Our one “rule” at the moment is no more rescue dogs, but that went out the window when I thought these guys were going to get hit. Yes, I will have to fundraise for their vet care, spay and neuter, and everything else, but I am going to help them find their forever homes.

Every millimeter of pit boy’s skin was red and raw and itchy and inflamed, and just a bath and getting the nasties off of him made him feel and look 98% better. I de-wormed them and took care of their wounds, and they are just a DELIGHT! They also absolutely love each other, which couldn’t be cuter. I have them in a huge pen, and they snuggle in the dog house together to sleep.

They are both so young (she is maybe 1 year old, he is maybe 1.5), and they were so happy to have someone want to take care of them. You can see the trust and gratitude as these pictures progress.

So here is where you come in! We need help! Vet bills for the two of them for exams, vaccinations, bloodwork, mange meds for him ($70 for Bravecto) and ear meds for her ($70 for the first treatment which did not clear it up, $50 for the drops I am using now) has already topped $500, which does not include the dewormer or flea/tick treatment that I already had on hand and their food and supplies. I have a spay appointment for the hound girl in less than two weeks, and we need help for the cost of both of their spay/neutering surgeries. If you can help AT ALL, please please send any funds to https://paypal.me/RespectFarmAnimals or Venmo . If neither of those work for you and you would like to help, please shoot me a message for other options (checks, gift cards to Chewy.com, advances to our account at the feed store or vet all make a huge, huge, huge difference).

Also, these beautiful babies will be looking for their forever homes as soon as they are spayed/neutered, so please share far and wide and get in touch for an adoption application. If we can find a home where they can stay together, we will figure out transport. That is the dream; they really love each other, and I would give pretty much anything for them to be able to stay together.

Thank you all for caring!
