Meet Cameron Byerly! Cameron will be instructing two workshops at MAC this summer, and here's a bit about him!

Cameron Byerly is a movement specialist from Fort Worth, Texas.
He was previously a high school theatre director, a stunt coordinator in Las Angeles, and has over fifteen years of experience onstage. Cameron works all across the DFW metroplex choreographing, directing, teaching workshops, and fight choreographing for numerous theatres and school districts. His mission is to inspire others to Fail Fantastically! Cameron creates an environment where the students are free to fail. He is simply a safety net that allows them to try all the things they are afraid of trying.

Meet Shanah Sams! Shanah will be instructing two workshops at MAC this summer, and here's a bit about her!

Shanah began performing onstage singing with her father and uncle before she could even remember. At a very young age, she knew she would go to college to pursue music education as a career. Shanah has been teaching music for over 20 years with a focus on private vocal instruction. She has had the honor of directing and performing on renowned stages such as Disney, Universal Studios, the Grand Ole Opry, and Carnegie Hall.

Shanah finds her greatest joy in her students’ success. Many of her students have earned awards for vocal excellence and pursued studies at prestigious colleges of music, theater, and the arts. Her students have achieved remarkable milestones. Some of her students have even gone on to perform on Broadway and appear on The Voice and American Idol.

Meet Emily McKinney! Emily will be instructing two workshops at MAC this summer, and here's a bit about her!

Emily McKinney is a performer, fitness professional, and creator of Theatre Fitness, a Broadway-inspired training program that helps performers build the body behind the choreography. Drawing from her background in Exercise Science, dance, voice, and professional performance, she helps actors develop the strength, stamina, coordination, and technique needed to perform at a higher level. Emily presents workshops and professional development sessions for schools and theatre programs and has been featured as a presenter for Texas Thespians, Georgia Thespians, and TXETA.

Theatre Fitness combines real choreography, performance training, and athletic conditioning into one high-energy workout. Designed specifically for musical theatre performers, each class builds the strength, stamina, coordination, and control needed to execute choreography with confidence. You’ll sweat, you’ll be challenged, and you’ll probably be sore tomorrow—but that’s why it works.

Meet Tron Sutton! Tron will be instructing three of our summer workshops, and here's a bit about him!

Tron Sutton is an actor, director, and arts educator whose work integrates rigorous craft with a deep commitment to human-centered storytelling. As Executive Director and Creative Strategist at the Mid‑Cities Arts Collective, he develops performance-based programming and guides artistic projects that emphasize clarity, intention, and ensemble collaboration.
In the classroom, Tron is known for his structured, analytical approach to acting and directing pedagogy. His teaching emphasizes character architecture, emotional truth, and practical technique, helping students build disciplined, repeatable processes for performance. He creates learning environments that balance academic rigor with supportive mentorship, encouraging artists to take risks, refine their craft, and pursue excellence with integrity.
