WVFC IS HIRING | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

West Virginia Futbol Club is seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated Executive Director to lead the next chapter of our organization.

As the largest youth soccer club in West Virginia, WVFC continues to grow, and we are looking for a leader who shares our vision for developing players, creating opportunities, and advancing the game throughout our state.

This position will oversee all branches of WVFC, including our Youth Academy, Competitive Travel Teams, USL Academy, and USL League Two program. The ideal candidate will bring experience in soccer leadership or sports administration, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to building a unified player development pathway.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on soccer in West Virginia and help shape the future of our club.

Calling all 2014/2015 girls! WVFC is hosting a U12 Interest Night and Tryout on Thursday, October 22, from 5:30–7:00 PM at Shawnee Soccer Complex.

Come out, meet Coach Chris Reese, and learn more about playing with WVFC!

Playing for WVFC does not interfere with your school soccer commitments. Players can continue representing their school teams while also enjoying the opportunity to develop and compete with WVFC.

Week 6 school soccer roundup ⚽

Oak Hill junior Bella Holly has officially surpassed 100 career goals and broken the school’s career goals record! Holly has 33 goals and 9 assists this season and headlines another big week for WVFC players representing their school teams across the state.

With just a few weeks of school soccer left, we want to hear from more of you. Send us your updated stats, photos, goal videos and other highlights from the season. We want to see it all and feature as many of our players as possible.

Hurricane senior Avery French has 12 goals and 4 assists, while George Washington freshman Greta Trethewey has 13 goals and 9 assists. Ripley freshman Emma Hosaflook has scored 9 goals, and Capital senior Peyton Scott has 3 goals and 5 assists. Winfield freshman center midfielder Caroline England also found the back of the net against Weir High School.

On the boys side, St. Joseph Central senior Gabe Miller has 24 goals and 18 assists, while teammate Hudson Moosavi has 16 goals and 10 assists. Chapmanville senior Aaden Rodighiero has 30 goals and 19 assists, with sophomore Adrick Rodighiero adding 16 goals and 8 assists.

Nitro senior Bodie Jordan has 19 goals and 10 assists in 10 games played, while junior Roy Torres has 14 goals and 5 assists.

Winfield freshman Kase Legg has scored 21 goals, while sophomore Joey Rader has 15 assists. Hurricane sophomore Tanner Gum has 16 goals and 8 assists, and junior Nate Boyer has 11 goals and 3 assists. Cabell Midland junior McIntyre Holmes has 15 goals and 11 assists.

Kolby Frum has recorded 16 goals and 15 assists, while George Washington senior Hebo Nahla has 8 goals and 3 assists. Keaton Shamblin has added 6 goals and 9 assists. Ashland freshman Carson Enochs scored against Fleming County High School, bringing his season total to 4 goals.

During our regularly scheduled Academy training, Mountain Care Network will be with us at Shawnee Sports Complex. Parents are encouraged come meet the Mountain Care Network team and learn more about this partnership during parent meetings at 6pm and 7pm.

Week 5 of our WVFC School Soccer Roundup is here! Another strong week with WVFC players continuing to make an impact for their school teams across the state.

The Hurricane girls have had plenty of WVFC players making an impact this season.

Avery French (Sr) — 10 goals, 2 assists
Kendall Pyle (Sr) — 2 goals, 5 assists
Aubree Welch (Fr) — 3 goals, 2 assists
Aubrey Coiner (So) — 3 goals, 1 assist
Afton Escue (Fr) — 3 goals, 1 assist
Lucy Barnes (Fr) — 21 saves

On the boys side, Oak Hill senior Jäger Workman recorded a hat trick against Huntington High School.

Isaac Legg of Calvary Baptist Academy Middle School scored against Bible Center before adding another goal and 2 assists against Grace Christian.

WVFC alumni Landon Stonestreet with an absolute screamer to give Marietta College the lead over Ohio Wesleyan University!

We love seeing moments like this from our former players. Having the confidence to hit one on the volley from outside the 18 is one thing, but firing it home like this is another.
