It’s been a weekend filled with soccer for our academy teams!

Some of our U11 girls kicked it off on Friday night with the UC women’s team. They walked out with the starting line up, watched the match and collected a few autographs.

On Saturday several academy teams headed to Beckley for friendlies giving players valuable game experience.

And the weekend isn’t over yet! Today is WVFC Day at UC as the men’s team takes on Saginaw Valley State University at 1:00pm! ⚽️

WVFC, let's fill the stands this Sunday, August 30th in support of the University of Charleston Men's Soccer team as they take on nationally ranked Saginaw Valley State University.

Kickoff is at 1:00 PM at Welch Athletic Complex in Charleston.

School soccer is underway, and we want to celebrate our WVFC players representing their schools this fall! Throughout the season, we’ll be sharing weekly roundups highlighting performances and achievements from our players across middle school and high school soccer.

Parents, players and coaches, send them our way! Message us or comment below with the player’s name, school, grade, stats, photos and anything else worth celebrating.

⛳ WVFC Golf Tournament Postponed

Due to the severe weather impacting our region, we have made the decision to postpone our 2nd Annual WVFC Golf Tournament.

The tournament originally scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, August 17th will now be held on Monday, November 2nd.

We appreciate everyone’s support of WVFC and our mission of driving the growth of soccer in West Virginia.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing everyone on the course soon!

Congratulations to two longtime WVFC players, Landon Stonestreet and Peyton Gum, on being named this year’s recipients of the Mark Conley Scholarship, presented by Coach Mark Conley.

Landon will continue his soccer career at Marietta College, while Peyton is headed to play at the University of Rio Grande this fall.

Congratulations to both of you, and thank you for everything you’ve given to WVFC. We can’t wait to see what all comes next🔴⚫️⚽️
