Today was the end of an era. I returned the keys to my dream. It is bittersweet, for sure. I’ve shed quite a few tears. But it’s also the right decision for this season of my life.
Between sales and donations my supplies have been spread far and wide like the dandelion seeds in my logo! I’ve loved hearing the stories of how they will be used by their new artists of all ages.
God has been in the details every step of the way. I’ve been praying for an exit strategy for nearly two years. But I believe he sustained me despite multiple challenging circumstances through that time so that our Revelation Bible Study could finish up AND so that the recipient of of the last of my supplies could establish their non-profit arm to resell sell craft supplies. And wouldn’t you know it’s called Marigold, another underrated plant that is far more beneficial than most people know. And the connection was made by a woman who came to shop my sales.
I am so incredibly thankful to every person who has encouraged or prayed for my dream, graced My Messy Desk with their presence, supported me financially, shared their kiddos with me, and helped me close out and clean up. I am also grateful to the City of Hurricane for taking a chance on my dream and their super support over the last 6 years!
Thank you. Thank YOU! THANK YOU!!!
It has been an incredible adventure! And though I won’t have a brick-and-mortar public space any longer, I’ll still be crafting in my new mini-craft room at home and keeping this online space open for however the Lord leads me to use it. For now my focus is on Kickin’ Cancer’s A$$ and restoring my health. I trust God to see me through this battle and prepare what’s next!
