After removing flags from gravesites. We inspect the flags for serviceability. We paint the wood stems on the flags so we know they are the ones that we put out. We want to make sure that we don't remove flags that we didn't put out. This year we repainted all of them. There were almost 50 flags that we retired and properly disposed of. We usually get 120 new flags every other year. This year ACE Hardware donated us 240 new flags.

In conjunction with the American Legion Post 7, the Beadle County Veterans Council and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1776. We donated a Maple Tree in celebration and recognition of the 250th anniversary of our country. The tree was planted by the bandshell at Campbell Park.
