We hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas!
For tonight, we thought it would be appropriate to ring in the new year across the world. So, at the top of every hour we'll ring in the new year. If you're like us and have a hard time staying conscience past 9:00 pm, this might be a good way to welcome in the new year! So, come on by in time to do the countdown in someone's time zone!

In addition, we've changed the playlist to all of our non-Christmas songs. However, if you really, really wanna hear those good feelin' Christmas songs, you can still queue them up using the link to the 'jukebox' which has all our songs. It can be found here: bit.ly/3B6DfpX

For this week, we've adjusted the playlist to randomly play all the songs in our library. Truth be told, I added a couple of ones I like 😊 (let me know if you can spot them!). We've also added a few semi-not-christmas ones too (ie 'Gravity') for a little variety.

Some of you may have noticed the arch is back up well enough to snap a few selfies. I also saw the selfie-wings needed some love today as well as the push-to-listen speaker. I thought I'd share some song request statistics after our first week of being LIVE. It's still early, so let your friends know they can control the music if they want to (or just sit back and let it randomly dole out the good stuff!). A few updates:

- The Santa Mailbox is up! We'd love to see the little ones send off their letters for Santa from the Holiday Express mailbox at our show. PLEASE help Santa by putting a return address on those letters!

- We have a new schedule:

--**-- A) Every day The Greatest Story show, hosted by Elsie and Sid, will play from 5:30 = 7:00 pm. It's a cute story, and has a set playlist.

--**-- B) Beginning at 7:00 pm each night, the library of songs we have for this year will play. We'll keep adding more as we finish them so there should be something new semi-regularly.

- We've enabled the feature that allows YOU to control what songs play. Santa's elves will pop up the barcode to get to the page (which is also available here: https://bit.ly/3B6DfpX ). This feature allows you to request songs to play next. However, it won't allow the same song to be played sooner than every third time. If we get a lot of users/requests, we might switch it to voting which might be fun because the song with the highest votes after three songs would play next.

Thank you all for coming out to see the show. A little update/background about this year's show for those techie types out there:
-This year we increased the number of lights from 22,000 to over 54,000
- We added over 78 new 'props' (each snowflake is a prop)
- The prop with the most lights has over 4,800 lights - can you guess which one that is?
- We added 8 new controller boxes with 98 new ports to connect props to

Thank you for being so patient these first few nights. With the added lights and new controllers, we're still fine-tuning things, but we're close. It was so cold the first night, the projectors wouldn't turn on! We've gotten them some heating pads, so hopefully they're happier now. Tonight, a couple of our new control boxes died in the middle of the show - and they're on the roof! We decided it was too cold to go up there in the dark, so we'll get to them when the sun is out and see what we can do to fix them. We mentioned the mailbox earlier, so stay tuned for that!

If you're willing to brave the chill, take advantage of the three different selfie stations around the show—we'd love to see a few pics posted on our FB page. As always, please refrain from walking behind the props. There are a lot of trip hazards back there, and we don't want anyone to get hurt.

Santa’s Mailbox did not hold up well in the weather last year. A new mailbox will be up sometime next week. We will post once up and ready to receive those very special letters to Santa!! 🎅🏻

A funny thing happened as I was working on setup the other day. Two young men pulled up in the truck and trailer, parked, got out, jumped into another rig, and took off. As Oscar Wilde said, Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...( I'll leave out the rest... :-) )???
