Members of the board of the Huron Historical Society recently had the opportunity to meet Ted and Rosy Walkenhorst. Ted is the 3x great grandson of Jabez Wright, one of the surveyors of the Firelands and a prominent Huron resident who at one time owned property extending from the Huron water plant to Rye Beach. Ted and Rosy are pictured alongside a portrait of Jabez that was painted during his time as a member of the Ohio state legislature.

That's a wrap!!! On behalf of the Huron Historical Society, we extend A HUGE THANK YOU to all of those who attended '1776' The Musical! Thanks too, to the volunteers, crew and actors. Read the program if you got one. There is still a LOT of love for the old Playhouse here! A lot of HP veterans came from far away back to Huron for this! I'll bet they had fun, too.
