⛳ Friends, we could use your help! ⛳

The Hurlock Lions Club is once again hosting our annual Dal Mann Memorial Golf Tournament, one of our largest fundraisers of the year. The tournament honors the memory of beloved Hurlock Lion and former District 22B Governor Dal Mann, whose legacy of service continues to inspire us.

The support we receive from golfers, sponsors, and community members helps fund many of the projects and programs we provide throughout the year, including scholarships, vision assistance, durable medical equipment, community service projects, and much more.

If you enjoy golf, consider putting together a team and joining us for a great day on the course. If you’re a business owner or know someone who is, hole sponsorships are also available and provide a great opportunity to support the community while gaining local visibility.

If you would like registration information, a team entry form, or hole sponsor information, simply send me a message and I’ll be happy to get it to you.

Even if you’re unable to participate, please consider sharing this post with friends, family, coworkers, and anyone else who might be interested.

Thank you for helping the Hurlock Lions Club continue our mission of “We Serve.” 🦁💙💛

Changing of the Guard at the Hurlock Lions Club

At the June 2 meeting, the Hurlock Lions Club marked the traditional “changing of the guard” during its final meeting of the 2025–2026 Lions year.

Outgoing President (King Lion) Gerald Keene concluded his year of leadership by addressing the Lions in attendance, expressing his sincere appreciation for their support, dedication, and contributions to the many successes achieved throughout the year. Under Gerald’s theme, “Empowering Our Community, One Act at a Time,” the club continued its proud tradition of service to Hurlock and the surrounding communities.

Following his remarks, incoming President Bob Faulkner presented Gerald with a Past President’s Plaque in recognition of his outstanding leadership and service during the past year.

The evening then turned to one of Lionism’s most meaningful traditions as Gerald formally presented Bob with the President’s Gavel, symbolizing the transfer of leadership and responsibility for the coming Lions year.

As the club looks ahead to 2026–2027 under President Bob Faulkner’s theme, “Honoring Our Past, Serving Our Future,” the Hurlock Lions remain committed to preserving the legacy built by generations of Lions while continuing to meet the needs of our community through service, fellowship, and leadership.

Thank you, Lion Gerald, for your leadership and dedication, and congratulations to President Bob as he begins his year at the helm of the Hurlock Lions Club. We look forward to another year of making a difference together.

🦁🎉 Hurlock Lions Support Hurlock Elementary’s MCAP Parking Lot Party! 🎉🦁

The Hurlock Lions Club was proud to provide volunteers in support of our community partner, Hurlock Elementary School, for their 3rd Annual MCAP (Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program) Parking Lot Party held on June 3.

Representing the Hurlock Lions Club were Lions Bob Faulkner, Linda Wilson, Shalondra Cornish, and Rick Price, who joined parents, school staff, and other community partners in celebrating the achievements of students in grades 3–5 who demonstrated exceptional performance on their state assessments.

The event was designed to recognize the hard work, dedication, and success of these students while providing a fun and memorable experience. Our Lions assisted with food service and activity booths throughout the celebration. Lion Rick Price kept students entertained at the popular Bottle Bash game, where participants tested their aim by throwing frisbees to knock plastic bottles off a pole.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Hurlock Elementary School and help recognize the accomplishments of these outstanding students. Encouraging and supporting our youth is one of the many ways Lions make a difference in our community.

Congratulations to all of the students who earned this special celebration—we hope you had a fantastic day and created memories that will last for years to come!
