World Rivers Day was well spent this year!!!

Keeping the Flint River clean requires cleaning the Flint River. Thanks to all who helped us clean the river today- Brown Bear Canoe and Kayak, Flint River Conservation Association, Huntsville Canoe Club and all of our volunteers.

Residents are still celebrating!

We also continue to look forward and think about ways to not just protect the Flint River this time, but to protect Alabama rivers in the future!

This is a win! We are happy, excited, emotional and so thankful ! Thankful for the community that has helped and supported us with this win! ❤️

But our efforts continue! We will continue to push for legislation to protect the Flint River and all rivers in North Alabama!

For now, celebrate!!!

IntegraWater had planned to build a wastewater treatment plant near Madison County’s Berry Hill community in New Market. The plant would have been on the Flint River, a waterway used for kayaking, baptisms and other community activities.

Join us this Friday in cheering on the Bucks to a Cotton Classic victory while spreading the word about saving the Flint River.

Buckhorn football will play against Hazel Green this Friday night September 4. Keep the Flint River Clean will have a tent set up with information and stickers for everyone. Wear your gear and help us make sure the community is informed.
