"You don't realize what a daily shower does for the soul, until you're forced to go without one for a few weeks."

Thanks to an incredible community partnership, First Stop now offers hot showers Monday–Friday to Huntsville's unhoused neighbors. A donated trailer from The Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, refitted by Bankston Motor Homes, a building constructed by the Rotary Club of Greater Huntsville and Habitat for Humanity. and many others — and about 20 people a day leaving feeling like a new person.

A shower isn't just hygiene. It's confidence. It's a shot at a job interview. It's dignity.
This service was the dream of our late Board President Craig Sumner. We're honored to make it real. 🚿❤️

This golf tournament is a great opportunity to enjoy a day on the course, support a strong community partner and help raise funds for work that is making a real difference in North Alabama.

Players will also have the chance to tee off next to an NFL Pro, with a $10,000 first place prize on the line.

Rocket City Roller Derby is rolling with purpose!

First Stop is honored to be selected by Rocket City Roller Derby as their Charity of the Month for their upcoming event on Saturday, May 30, 2026, as they take on the Nashville Brawl Stars.

As part of this partnership, First Stop will be on-site with a table to share more about who we are, what we do in the community, and how our neighbors can get involved in supporting people experiencing homelessness. Rocket City Roller Derby will also generously donate a portion of ticket sales from the event to support First Stop’s mission.

We are grateful for community partners who use their platform to make a difference. Every ticket purchased helps support our work to encounter the homeless where they are, connect them to critical services, and empower them toward independent, sustainable living.

Come out, cheer on Rocket City Roller Derby, stop by our table, and learn how you can be part of the journey home.
