We are heartbroken to write that we had to put our sweet boy Adam to sleep yesterday. Adam came to us from HAS in a group we pulled from them last summer. He was a sweet healthy, aside from a moderate case if pectus excavatum. He was just the sweetest cuddliest boy. He was adopted by an amazing couple who loved him dearly. One morning he began showing some weakness in his back legs. His adoptive mom and dad took him to so many vet visits, neurologist, had MRIs run and yet no definitive diagnosis could be made. As his symptoms became more pronounced, Adam was returned to us where he stayed at our vet for several weeks undergoing treatments. We finally brought him home and were enjoying loving on him but his neurological symptoms continued. Yesterday morning he suffered a seizure that he just didn't really come out of and the very difficult decision was made to let our sweet young Adam go. This is always a difficult and heartbreaking decision we never take lightly, but after a quality of life vet check, it was decided it was what was best for him. Thank you to his adoptive mom and dad for loving him and trying so hard to get answers for him. Thank you to Dr. Anderson for being so understanding and gentle with him. We may have only had a short time with you Adam, but we will love and miss you forever. πŸŒˆπŸ’”

Update on one of the 2 kittens we recently took in. He is actually doing so much better. He has doubled his body weight, eating formula like a champ (a.k.a. like a little piggy), he has more than doubled his body weight, his congestion is nearly completely gone and his eyes are improving.
It is because of your generosity that we are able to rescue and save kitties in need like this precious boy and his sister. Please keep donating so we can continue to save babies like this. Thank you!

PLEASE! We are in desperate need of donations! We have only received one very much appreciated donation and we need more donors. You can call them in direct to the clinic! Just leave a comment to let us know. We are having to put all medical on a hold until at least what is currently showing on the balance is paid as we have 3 more medical cases still there that will add at least another $1,000.00 to the total. ANY amount will help. Pay the clinic directly or send via our PayPal or Venmo. (Information in the original post.) Thank you!

We are once again here asking for help with vet bill. We have been hit hard recently along with helping a family who's kitty suffered a life ending injury and a sweet gentleman who need help getting his much loved kitty seen for an UTI. In addition to what is on our bill, we have 2 major medical cases (one of those being Badger and a second one I will be posting about soon) and one minor case that will be adding at least another $1,000.00 to our bill. We will not be able to help anymore kitties until our bill is paid way down or off. Please if you are able to help, know any amount is appreciated and helps us help more kitties. You can donate directly by calling the clinic and asking them to be sure to mark your payment as a donation. You can also go through Paypal or Venmo, or through the donation button at the top of this page.
I have added pictures showing payments made from previous donations and how low we were able to get pur bill before the most recent wave of cats and kittens needing help. We so truly appreciate anything you can donate to help. Thanks!

Badger needs an angel! Our sweet boy has been dealt an unfair hand. We had thought he was suffering from allergies, but it has turned out to be something so much more. Every time he would go to PetSmart, he would start sneezing. As a soon as we pulled him out and put him in foster with some meds, the sneezing would get better. Then when he went back, it would start again so it was figured he was allergic to the litter dust. However, when he went to foster this time, the sneezing didn't improve as much as we would like so I requested a nasal flush and swab for testing. When the results came back, we were all shocked and deeply saddened. He tested positive for Calici, herpes virus and mycoplasma. The mycoplasma is treatable with doxycycline but it was quickly obvious that he could not tolerate it so an alternate but not as effective longer term treatment will be used. As for the calici, it may or may not resolve with time but there is no guarantee and the herpes virus has no treatment and will be something he has to live with. This is the main one that may cause health issues in the future.
As for now, with the exception of his sneezing, he is the picture of health which is why these finds were so unexpected. Now the harsh reality of it. We are desperately looking for a home with no other cats or another herpes positive cat that is vaccinated against calici (this is found in the annual vaccine FVRCP). Badger would need to be isolated in a bedroom until he teast negative for the mycoplasma for whi hours we will supply all meds and testing.
This precious loving boy deserves to live but his only hope is someone willing to adopt him with the knowledge of what he is dealing with. PLEASE if you are interested in being his rescuer, message us and we will be happy to set up a meet and greet along with a meeting with his vet to answer any questions. This is truly a life or death plea!
Please share share share to help save Badger!!!

Today was a sad one as we said goodbye to one of our own kitties. Sweet Stretch was one of a litter of six born here in the rescue. In fact, his mom, Peggy, was the very first kitty we took in to the rescue. She was found out in the country heavily pregnant and alone. She gave birth just 2 days after coming to us and It was clear immediately something wasn't right with her kittens. It wasn't highly apparent, but I could tell with my experience something was off. We don't know if mom had been exposed to a virus, a possible severe infection or some type of toxic substance that affected the kittens in utro. As time went on, it became obvious that they would not be adoptable so we started the sanctuary part of the rescue. We have already lost his mom and sister to cancer, but now him also. My husband and I adopt each kitty from the sanctuary when it becomes apparent that their health is in jeopardy as I believe every cat should be owned by a family. We then have them cremated and they come back to stay with us. Please keep Stretch in your thoughts and prayers. He was such a loving precious boy and will be so truly missed. πŸ˜’πŸ’”πŸŒˆ

Meet our newest rescue babies. This little boy and his sister (picture coming soon) were found by an amazing couple and immediately rushed to their vet. He and his sister had been receiving amazing care there (Thank you Dr. Rawls, Timothy and Johnathan for your wonderful care and dedication to these babies. They wouldn't still be alive if not for you. ❀️ ), but needed more hands on around the clock care and we gladly stepped up to help.
His sister is doing wonderfully and has transitioned very well to a can food diet. The little boy is still needing formula feedings ever 3.5 hours around the clock and has a long road ahead if him, but we will be here ever step of the way.

Polaris is in the building!
Yes, Polaris is now at PetSmart in Jones Valley. Come by and check out this sweet handsome boy and read his bio noting his personality and adoption needs/requirements.
Remember this handsome boy is deaf so if you try to get his attention, he's not ignoring you he just doesn't hear you. 🩡❀️
