CCI Hooks for Hope

CCI Hooks for Hope Hooks for Hope is sponsored by the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation through Clearview Cancer Institute (CCI). Hooks for Hope meets monthly September through May.

Started in October 2013, Hooks for Hope is a voluntary group that crochets hats for cancer patients. Hooks for Hope is open to anyone whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced crocheter who desires to join us in our mission to help cancer patients. If you can't attend meetings, you are still welcome to join the group to make hats and drop them off at CCI.

Summertime brings the hot, humid weather! During the summer, Hooks for Hope has cotton hats for patients. The cotton hats are cooler and are better at wicking away the moisture. These are a few samples of the cotton hats for summer.

Hooks for Hope will meet Wednesday, March 11, at 10:00 am in the Community Room at CCI on CCI Drive, Huntsville. All skill levels are welcome. We’ll start working on cotton hats to be used for summer months.

Merry Christmas! Over the past few months, Hooks for Hope has been working on Christmas hats. These are a few of the hats made to help cheer up patients in the infusion area who need a warm, soft hat.

The next Hooks for Hope meeting is Wednesday, December 10, at 10:00 am at CCI, on CCI Drive, Huntsville. We meet on the 2nd floor in the Community Room. You don't have to be an experienced crocheter to attend. There are always discussions about crocheting, patterns, etc. If you would like to crochet during the meeting, feel free to bring your piece to work on.

Hooks for Hope will meet this Wednesday, October 8 in the Community Room at CCI Drive in Huntsville. All skill sets are welcome!

After taking a break for the summer, Hooks for Hope meetings will start again. The first meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025 at 10:00 am at CCI, CCI Dr., Huntsville. The meeting will be held in the Community Room on the 2nd floor. All are welcome to attend - first time crocheters and experienced ones both. If you can't attend meetings but would like more information, send an email to [email protected].
