CCI Hooks for Hope Hooks for Hope is sponsored by the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation through Clearview Cancer Institute (CCI). Hooks for Hope meets monthly September through May.

Started in October 2013, Hooks for Hope is a voluntary group that crochets hats for cancer patients. Hooks for Hope is open to anyone whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced crocheter who desires to join us in our mission to help cancer patients. If you can't attend meetings, you are still welcome to join the group to make hats and drop them off at CCI.

Hooks for Hope meets on Wednesday October 14 at 10:00 am in the Community Room at CCI on CCI Drive Huntsville. We are finishing up the Breast Cancer Awareness hats and have started on Christmas and Fall/Winter hats. We have a fun time talking about crocheting, hat patterns or leaning something new. We welcome people with all skill levels.

Pictured is a small sample of the beautiful hats made for Breast Cancer Awareness. They are available in the infusion areas for patients.

The next Hooks for Hope meeting after our summer break will be Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 10:00. We meet in the Community Room on the 2nd floor of CCI, Russel Hill location. We’ll take up Breast Cancer awareness hats and start work on Christmas and Fall/Winter hats. All crocheters or knitters are welcome.

Summertime brings the hot, humid weather! During the summer, Hooks for Hope has cotton hats for patients. The cotton hats are cooler and are better at wicking away the moisture. These are a few samples of the cotton hats for summer.
