THIS Saturday, only a few days away, join HMC for an October afternoon of musical glow at a newly renovated location, Fantasy Playhouse Children's Theater!

Think jazz standards are all 80 years old? Think again. Olivia Dean's “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” was released in 2025, bringing jazz and bossa nova influences into contemporary pop. Our
program spans nearly a century of music—but we're not stopping in the past. Jazz is still evolving, and we're singing a little bit of where it's going.

Joins us next Saturday, October 3rd, for a concert with serious SPARKLE!

Frank Sinatra recorded "All or Nothing at All" in 1939. America discovered it four years later. It was recorded by a young Frank Sinatra with Harry James and His Orchestra, but when the recording was reissued in 1943, it EXPLODED—spending 21 weeks on the charts and selling more than a million copies. Some songs are hits right away. Others simply wait for their moment. We're bringing this classic back to the stage.

Light That Jazz is just 11 days away! Join us for a light and bright afternoon full of swing.

Before “swing” became an era, Duke Ellington gave it a song. Some music doesn’t walk; it dances. “It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing) is all sparkle, syncopation, and irresistible energy. Written in 1931, the song helped define the sound of the Swing Era. You can analyze the notes and count the beats, but the title says it all!

Are you ready for a warm, breezy afternoon of jazz? Before it became one of America's most beloved romantic songs, “Stardust” was a jazzy instrumental. Hoagy Carmichael wrote the melody in 1927 while he was a student at Indiana University. Two years later, Mitchell Parish added the lyrics that transformed it into the dreamy standard we know today. Nearly 100 years later, “Stardust” is still shining and we can't wait to sing it for you.
