AshaKiran, which translates to "A Ray of Hope," is committed to empowering culturally diverse communities through outreach with a variety of annual community events such as the Community Kite Festival, Statewide Standing in Solidarity Event Against Domestic Violence, and the North Alabama Health & Wellness Fair. AshaKiran also provides culturally competent services in 49+ languages, a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, accompaniment, transportation, advocacy, case management, counseling, translation/interpretation, information & referral. AshaKiran's Cultural Humility and Language Access training focuses on areas such as domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking

A RAY OF HOPE RETURNS ☀️ Celebrate North Alabama’s vibrant cultural diversity with the third-annual A Ray of Hope Festival at The Orion on Sunday, November 1! Don’t wait - tickets are on sale now, with proceeds benefiting AshaKiran.

A Ray of Hope is AshaKiran Foundation’s annual celebration of cultural diversity, bringing together the Huntsville community for an inspiring afternoon of international music, dance, arts, food, and connection while supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

This family-friendly event features multicultural performances, community engagement, and - new this year - an International Marketplace with arts and crafts vendors showcasing unique handmade goods, artwork, jewelry, textiles, and cultural treasures from around the world. Guests can also enjoy a diverse selection of international food trucks offering authentic global flavors.
