Huntsville Association of Small Businesses in Advanced Technology HASBAT was founded by local small technology companies to serve as an advocate to represent and promote the views and interests of Small Businesses.

HASBAT Mission & Strategies

Mission: To increase business opportunities for high technology small businesses in the Huntsville area. Strategies:

1. Promote increased small business participation in high technology contracts with local federal agencies.

2. Promote increased small business subcontracting plan goals by prime contractors and encourage achievement of those plan goals.

3. Provide a

means for the exchange of capabilities information among member companies.

4. Serve as a point of contact for promoting high technology small business opportunities, issues, legislation, regulations, and communications.

5. Improve community awareness of capabilities of the Huntsville area high technology small businesses.

Due to federal funding constraints affecting our scheduled speakers, the HASBAT Quarterly Training Session, titled “AI-Fueled Cyber Targeting,” has been CANCELED! We look forward to bringing this important topic back to the HASBAT community at a future training session once funding issues have been resolved.

✅The good news is the HASBAT Monthly Membership Meeting will continue as planned on March 12th at the Jackson Center from 1130-1300. To register for the event, please visit the HASBAT website!

Join us for our Quarterly Training on AI-Fueled Cyber Targeting followed by the March HASBAT Membership Meeting.

Cybersecurity advisors Joseph Parker and Thomas Valentine will walk through how AI is changing cyber targeting and what organizations should be watching for right now.

AI is changing the way cyber threats find their targets and it’s happening faster than most organizations realize.

Join us March 12 from 9:30–11:00 AM for HASBAT’s Quarterly Training: “AI Fueled Cyber Targeting.”

Cybersecurity Advisor Joe Parker (CISSP) will kick things off with a look at how AI is being used to identify and target individuals and organizations — including a live example using a LinkedIn profile.

Then Thomas Valentine will dive into how state-sponsored actors are leveraging these tactics and what it means for the government contracting and defense community.

If you work in cybersecurity, defense, or government contracting, this training will give you insight into the threats shaping today’s landscape.
