Due to dangerously low temperatures in the Tennessee Valley Authority service area and the expected high electric demand expected on their system, TVA is asking for VOLUNTARY curtailment across their entire system.

In VOLUNTARY curtailment, customers are asked to reduce their electric consumption by turning off unneeded lights and by not using major appliances (ovens, washing machines, washers/dryers, etc.).

We appreciate the assistance of our customers during this time. We will provide updates in the comment section of this post as they become available.

Let’s prepare for the 2022-23 school year!
Head to www.mcssk12.org and fill out the School Meal Benefits application. These forms determine if a student is eligible for paid, reduced, or free school meals. The documents also influence how much funding MCSS receives in grants and federal dollars.

As successful as Remote Learning has been, MCSS misses our kids. We are excited to welcome them back to campuses on Monday morning. Get some rest this weekend!
