Episode 1 of the Ms. Behaving in Literacy podcast is now live!

This is not your typical literacy podcast. Each month, the hosts of the podcast, Dr. Bethanie Pletcher and Dr. Marilyn Nicol, will explore literacy and literacy education issues through a practical lens and with a little humor here and there to lighten the mood a little.

This first episode was filmed at the Association of Literacy Educators and Researchers (ALER) conference in OKC. During this episode, the hosts asked conference attendees and board members about why they love ALER.

Enjoy and please share with colleagues and on your socials and subscribe to the channel on YouTube!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

The Specialized Literacy Professional research group has recently submitted a manuscript that reports on their analysis of 7 publishing companies' decodable texts.

You can find a link to the latest article here: https://www.talejournal.com/index.php/TJLE/issue/view/12/31

In addition, we are excited to begin our next study related to this project. We would like to conduct observations and interviews with first-grade teachers to explore how they select, plan for, and use decodable texts with their students. We would like observations to occur in several geographic locations in the US.

Please email [email protected] if you are interested in collaborating on this research project.
