The main objective of the club, as with all of Rotary International, is service - in the community, the workplace and throughout the world.

Our speaker for Wednesday, June 17th, is Caleb Havens. He is a Principal Security Consultant at NetSPI and cybersecurity instructor at Johns Hopkins University, where he teaches professionals how to communicate cyber risk to executives, legal teams, and program leadership. A former Marine Corps Intelligence and Reconnaissance Officer, Caleb now specializes in Red Team Operations and Social Engineering, using real-world adversarial tactics to test whether organizations can withstand sophisticated attacks. He has successfully breached some of the world's most secure networks, conducting authorized adversarial operations against Fortune 500 and Fortune 50 organizations across defense, finance, healthcare, and critical infrastructure. Before NetSPI, Caleb supported cyber testing and engineering for the Missile Defense Agency and served as a Red Team Operator for the U.S. Army’s Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO).

Last Wednesday, our club had lunch at the Food Bank of North Alabama and helped sort and prepare boxes. In one hour, we sorted 6,500 lbs of food which will serve over 5,000 people. It was very interesting hearing about their mission and how they support the different food banks.

JoAnn M. Perez has been serving Huntsville, Alabama as a licensed attorney for over 22 years. A graduate of Wayne State University, JoAnn obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing before attending Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan, where she obtained her Juris Doctor (JD) Degree in 1999. In law school, JoAnn won the Bronze Key Academic Award in 1996 and was a member of Moot Court.

JoAnn is currently licensed to practice law in Alabama. She is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Alabama State Bar, the Real Estate and Probate Section of the American Bar Association, the Taxation Section of the American Bar Association and the Business Section of the American Bar Association. Her primary areas of practice include estate planning, estate administration, wills, trusts, probate law including conservatorships and guardianships, and business law including corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.

JoAnn served as the President of the Rotary Club of Greater Huntsville from 2024-2025, the WEDC Foundation Board President in 2016, and as CASA of Madison County (now Enable) Board President in 2016. She currently serves as Chair of Huntsville Hospital Foundation Planned Giving Advisory Council and she is a member of the 305 8th Street Board of Directors, the Drake State Foundation Board, the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville Women's Philanthropy Society Leadership Council, and the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville Ambassador Council.
