Our 2026–2027 NAWIC North Alabama Board of Directors is officially installed! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Canteen at Stovehouse to celebrate the start of a new chapter year, and to our outgoing board for their leadership and dedication.

It was especially meaningful to have moms, spouses, and friends there cheering us on. Thank you for showing up and supporting the women of our chapter!

NAWIC North Alabama brought the paddle power to the ABC|FLX Pickleball Showdown!

Our members were out on the court, bringing the energy, making connections, and showing that NAWIC knows how to have a little fun, too!

We’re proud to have NAWIC members involved in the event — as FLX members, sponsors, and players! It’s always great to see our members supporting the construction community in so many ways.

Our September Chapter Meeting was all about the power of connection. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to Ann Kepner with Chalker Group for joining us and presenting The Human Grid: Plugging In to the Power of Connection.

Ann shared valuable insight on building meaningful relationships, understanding the difference between mentors and sponsors, and being intentional about developing a strong personal network.

We loved the reminder that the relationships we build can have a lasting impact on our careers, our leadership and the construction industry as a whole.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another great meeting! We’ll see you all on October 8 for our New Board Installation Ceremony! ❤️

On this day, twenty-five years ago, at exactly 8:46am EST, our nation was changed forever.

Let us take a moment today to reflect on the 2,977 lives that were taken from us. May we remember the passengers and crews of American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77, and United Airlines Flight 93. May we always honor those directly impacted at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. And may we forever recognize the courage of the heroes and first responders who answered our nation’s call for help on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we reflect on our country’s strength, unity, and resilience that emerged in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember, and never to forget.

✨🚨 Meet the Board Monday 🚨✨
‼️NEW BOARD MEMBER ALERT‼️

Last but not least, let us introduce to you, Kaitlyn Snyder! Kaitlyn has been a member since March 2025 and is joining our board as a Director for 2026-2027! We asked Kaitlyn what she’s hoping to gain from being on the board for our NAWIC chapter and she said she’s hoping to grow personally and professionally. She’s excited to learn from all of the incredible women in our organization by building lasting connections and working together to give back to our community that supports women in construction. She hopes to make a positive impact and lasting impression by encouraging member engagement and helping create opportunities for others to grow and succeed.

Fun fact about Kaitlyn – she’s a Facebook Marketplace ju**ie! She loves finding a hidden gem and enjoys the challenge of bargaining for a great deal, it’s like her own little treasure hunt! Be sure to let Kaitlyn know if you’re in the market for something, she can probably find it for you! 😅🤍
