Madison County Beekeepers Association The Madison County Beekeepers Association meets on the second Thursday of every odd numbered month (Jan, Mar. May, July etc.) at 6:30 PM.

The object of this Association shall be to assist in checking the spread of bee diseases, to spread information concerning improved methods of production, to secure recognition of the industry at state and county fairs; to inform the public as to the value of honey as food, of the importance of the business of honey production and the value of bees to other crops; and to elevate the business of beekeeping to a place of eminence among agricultural activities.

The MCBA will be joining the Land Trust at Blevin’s Gap from 9am-12n on Saturday, Aug 22, 2026 for the Great Southeast Pollinator Census! We’ll have a table set up and have a honey bee presentation at 10:30am, with an observation hive of live honey bees. Come and join us then!

It’s a Pollinator Party!

Join us at Blevins Gap Nature Preserve on Saturday, August 22, from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. for a morning dedicated to the plants, insects, and other pollinators that help our ecosystems thrive.

Become a citizen scientist and help us collect data for the Great Southeast Pollinator Census. No experience needed! We’ll show you how to observe a plant for 15 minutes and count the pollinators that stop by.

We’ll also have a Flower Walk, Pollinator BINGO with prizes, Beekeeping 101, storytime with Little Forest Friends, kids’ activities, educational displays, and FREE snow cones from Southerland Sno Depot all morning long.

Come for one activity or spend the whole morning with us!
