**2Q REGIONAL CHARITY DRIVE ANNOUNCEMENT - STUFFED ANIMAL DRIVE**

A stuffed animal can often bring a smile to a child, but it is not just
during holidays that stuffed animals are needed. As law enforcement officers and other officials respond to traumatic events, sometimes children can be found sitting to the side of the emergency, feeling lonely and scared. Officers have often comforted these children with stuffed animals. A stuffed animal can really make a difference for a child in great need!

Coordinators, please contact emergency services agencies in your area to determine an agency which will be well helped by our efforts. You can check with your sheriff's office, police department, fire rescue, emergency medical services, and hospitals.

Important Dates
Drive starts: April 1, 2023
Drive ends: April 30, 2023
Prestige Recommendations are due no later than May 2023

Prestige Guidelines
1R for small stuffed animals (beanie baby sized, 6
inches or so, fits the length of one average adult hand)

2R for large stuffed animals (anything larger than above)

Information for Coordinators -

Local coordinators will begin collecting new or gently used stuffed animals from members on April 1, 2023 until April 30, 2023.

Presiding coordinators will then donate these stuffed animals to a local emergency services agency, hospitals, or other nonprofits that would appreciate them.

Each coordinator will be required to keep a list detailing how many items each member donates and where the donations went.

The maximum amount of Regional prestige this charity drive allows is 30R.

Examples are listed below on how the points will be distributed.

**CHARITY DRIVE ANNOUNCEMENT - ARKANSAS DISASTER RELIEF**

Arkansas has recently been hit by a series of catastrophic storms that have resulted in widespread damage and injuries. Much as we do when tragedies hit other places around the world, the Modern Enigma Society is calling for assistance from those who are able to provide it.

*Drive Details: *
April 1st - May 31st 2023
Note - these dates may be extended if deemed reasonable to do so. Those who have already made donations during April before this announcement may send those per the instructions later in this announcement.

*Monetary Donations: *For this drive, all approved monetary donations will receive a prestige return of 1 National per $5. Receipts are required for
prestige to be awarded.

*Volunteer: *There are many organizations putting together supplies and relief efforts for those affected by the storms in Arkansas. Working with
these groups to package supplies or otherwise support their efforts will be considered for prestige. 1 Hour of time is eligible for up to 10 National Prestige.

*In-Kind Donations:* There are organizations with wish lists, in addition to groups collecting clothing, blankets, and other items to help support humanitarian efforts and needs in Arkansas and for residents in need. All donations must be new or gently used. Every $5 of goods donated is eligible
for up to 1 point of National Prestige.

At the end of this announcement, you will find a list with several suggested charity organizations. While this list is not exhaustive, it does cover a range of organizations to help direct your efforts and donations if you are unsure of how you might help.

*To Claim Prestige: *
You must send an email with the following information/documentation as appropriate for your donation.

*Monetary *- A receipt from the organization you have donated to showing the organization's name, amount donated, your name, and the date of
donation.

*Volunteer* - A breakdown of time spent volunteering, where you volunteered, and what the volunteer work is supposed to accomplish. We
would prefer to also receive some form of note signed by the volunteer organizer reflecting the time volunteered and your participation.

*In-Kind Donations* - An itemized list of what was donated, preferred with exact or approximate value of said items. Receipts are best where possible, but not absolutely required.

donations.

Arkansas Food Bank: https://arkansasfoodbank.org
The Arkansas Food Bank is seeking donations / contributions along with seeking volunteers to assist in packing and distributing food for those in
need. They have several Food Distribution events going on in various locations.

Seeking Mental Health Team Members and Local Disaster Response Team Members. Some of these volunteer opportunities are able to be done from
home.

Sheep Dog Impact Assistance: https://sheepdogia.org
Deploys Disaster Relief teams to areas in need. Interested volunteers can register on their website. They are also taking donations to support these
teams' efforts.

Disaster Relief Arkansas: https://abscdisasterrelief.org
Provides disaster relief in the form of food, physical labor, and other efforts to those people and areas affected by disaster. Accepting donations and volunteers, and providing training for volunteers as well. Currently has 13 units deployed throughout Arkansas to assist disaster relief efforts.

Accepts donations and volunteer support to provide services and relief to people living in Arkansas who have been affected by disaster.

Additionally, members who assist individuals affected by the storms may submit proof of that assistance in whatever form you have available for

**HUNTSVILLE GAME OF THE MONTH INFORMATION**

Hello all,

We will be hosting the GOTM on Saturday July 8, 2023. The games that we will be playing will be Sabbat and Cam/Anarch.

We have secured the church that I attend for the GoTM. The church will not charge us a game site fee, so we will not be charging one either. The church will accept donations (will have a jar out for that) There were two conditions that the church has stated for us to use them.

1. That we clean up completely after ourselves since they have church services the following morning.

2. The church has active security cameras watching over the outside parking lots. There is a desk in the entryway of the church that has a monitor that shows the cameras active. The church has asked that someone man the security cameras during the time we are there. So we will be needing volunteers for shifts to do such and we will award prestige for this. So if you are going be there but maybe there isn't a game you play, please volunteer to man the security cameras.

Also, smoking outside will be in a designated area. No smoking or va**ng in the church whatsoever. Outside, please police your cigarette butts. If we have to be outside after dark hunting down tossed cigarette butts, we will not be happy.

We will be having food and snacks during each game, but between the games we will be having a taco/burrito bar set up! The church has an ice machine, but limited refrigerator space, so we will be using two liter bottles and cups. A list of suggested donations (food wise and such to be consumed by us) will be put out a bit later.

Our charity drive for the GOTM will be a canned food drive. Since the church does food boxes for the homeless and needy, all canned foods that are donated at the GOTM will be given to the church to use for these boxes.
