The Alabama Department of Corrections, maintains that the key factor affecting ex-offenders during reentry is their inability to successfully access and secure resources. The Department has said that when ex-offenders are properly reintegrated into society, they have a better chance of “maintaining a crime free quality life.” In order to realize successful reintegration, ex-offenders often must o

vercome severe obstacles such as securing legitimate employment. Ex-offenders find it difficult to secure such employment due to employer’s resistance to hire employees with a criminal record. Ex-offenders also find it difficult to obtain housing, participate in the electoral process, and adapt to our changing environment. ANVOO addresses the needs and give non-violent offenders a second chance, by providing key services that will help non-violent offenders become productive citizens and maintain a crime free life.
